One thing I think I am going to start doing is buying a PMAG a pay check. That might actually be a good way to invest if nothing else.

AKs already went up a bit

I recall Clinton helping me out, SKS carbines were $79.00 each just before he regulated stuff causing their value to increase so I could sell a barrel full I had bought at $79 each.

That makes sense. So many are run by a bunch of clowns, based on the 30.06 signs.

Been sold out for the better part of the year."

I was on Delton a little less than a month ago and they weren't sold out.

Unlike last time, I refuse to be a party to the next gun/bullet bubble. Nothing has changed and I am not going to give money to speculators using an election to drive up prices for their benefit.

:thumbs2: There's a sucker born every minute but you don't have to be one of them.

But it might be a good time for some people to get rid of some excess inventory.

Well, stock market tanked. But Ruger stock took a BIG jump.

Are you kidding? The price gouging has already started, and it is even going on here. See the classified ad fro the guy who wants $800 for an AMD-65.

And so it begins. His first day after reelection was spent getting this UN small arms treaty going. In 2006, Bolton told the UN not in a million years. Obama can't do it fast enough.

Stolen Shamelessly from Rifle Company. http://www.rifle-company.com/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?t=44" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

2008 should have taught us all this lesson for ammo (and guns)

1) You can never have too much ammo on hand. 1k rounds per battle rifle is a good minimum to start with (messed up).
2) Supplies of good surplus run out before you know it, and usually when you're running low on ammo, so buy plenty while its available.
3) When in doubt about how much ammo you should buy, refer to rule #1.
4) Ammo is meant to be shot, so shoot often.
5) Because of rule #4, ammo must be replenished often as well.
6) When replenishing supply of ammo, refer to rules #1 through #3.
7) You must buy at least twice as much ammo as you shoot (messed up).
8: Always store ammo in a cool dry place (TEA). Or the only time you have too much ammo is when your house is on fire (Slick).
9) If you don't have room in your house to store ammo per rule #8, build a bunker or a cellar in your back yard for storing ammo (TEA).
10) Friends don't let friends buy Indian surplus ammo (TEA). Or Never buy surplus ammo from a country where you wouldn't drink the water (midrat).

I was at my local gun store (no storefront, have to know it's there kinda thing) and the topic of attending the next gun show came up. Everyone there is skipping, but everyone at the store was stocking up on magazines, lowers, etc.

Myself included. I was planning on building a new rifle for myself for Christmas, but after the election, I decided to start early. Polymer mags were still plentiful and affordable, and I got a good deal on a complete lower by spikes tactical with all magpul stock and grip at a good price. The dealer had 12 on Wednesday morning, and I got the last one this afternoon. No price gouging tho.

I will add it to the pile ;-)

Yeah, I drug my heels too long, too. On the bright side, I bought a 3D printer and although I had a printer jam the last time I tried to print one, I'll try again this weekend....
