Collectors Firearms on Fondren

Has anyone had any dealings with this shop. They have a nice selection of
kimbers, and a Springfield Emp I was looking at. Not sure about their pricing in general

They have the highest quality inventory of any place I've seen in the Houston area. If you want to spend four figures on a gun, that's a good place to do it.

Their prices on regular merchandise tend to be higher than elsewhere and you can probably find a better price if you want a new production pistol.

But it's a great place to browse! Just make sure to allow at least a couple of hours.

I was there Thursday and found something I could afford. I picked up a circa 1973 S&W Model 60 for a reasonable price.

Bottom line: It's definitely worth visiting.

Every now and then, Collectors' has reasonsble prices but the one thing they always have is an incredible selection. I don't know that I will ever say Collectors' has great prices.
When you take the time out of your day to beat someone, it has a much longer lasting effect on their demeanor than simply shooting or tazing them.

I purchased two firearms (Winchester lever action in .357 and a Ruger 10/22) from them about 6 years ago. Go there every now and then to browse their extensive inventory.

If you must have a certain product, and you want it right now, then Collector's is probably the place you should visit. If you are willing to wait and/or compromise...you can always get a better deal somewhere else.

I have a friend that buys most of his collectors pieces from there. They are a bit too high for my tastes but I am almost never looking for something special. Check out their website, they pretty much update it everyday. http://www.collectorsfirearms.com/ They have some pretty amazing things come through their selection sometime. Better be ready to pull out your pocketbook though

I don't understand why anybody would buy from them. For one, you can go down to any gun show in Houston held almost every week, get a price at least $2-300 cheaper; secondly, they are very arrogant with a take-it-or-leave-it attitude.

If you want any exotic stuff, just order from Internet and get a price even cheaper (another $50 off).

I would never do any busines with them unless I need something RIGHT NOW - hey, I am very patient and I can wait.

Sorry, I was just talking about production guns, not those rare antique/collector's items.

Wal-Mart, they ain't.

So if all you want is a best price on any regular production pistol, go somewhere else.

But,, if you want a one-of a kind, once owned by Roy Rogers, or Elvis; or that one of a kind, gold-plated, engraved Sig 210; or a new in box Mauser broomhandle,

PLEASE tell me where you go to find one $50 cheaper!!!!!!!
