Re: Why dont I trust a 9mm??
I do!So why doesn't everyone just carry a 10mm and go on with it?
But seriously I feel just as prepared with my 9mm, .40S&W or .45acp as my 10mm for personal protection against others. The 10mm really doesn't matter to me until I go hiking out west and then you could just argue that a 41, 44mag etc is better.
There is nothing wrong with the 124 grain +P gold dot load. It is one of the best on the market and highly successful in law enforcement. Let me put it this way. I rather carry my S&W 9mm with the 124 grain +P Gold dot load then my Springfield .45acp with some Winchester white box jhp. I think the quality of the bullet makes a bigger difference then going from .35.5 to .45.2 caliber bullet.
Just my two cents

Re: Why dont I trust a 9mm??
I can only tell you why I trust a 9mm:
1. Shot placement. I am more accurate with a 9.
2. Cost. The cheaper the round the more I practice, which is always a good thing.
3. Ballistics. The penetration numbers between the 9, 40, and 45 are usually less than 1" in gelatin. Sure the 40 and 45 expand to larger diameters as they are fatter, but they all penetrate very similarly if the variables are kept constant.
