My Kahr p9 fits her great but she can't rack the slide.

I am in a similar situation with a tiny-handed girlfriend. When we find something with a grip small enough for her hand to get around, the slide is just way too tough for her handle at all (much less under duress). All I've been able to do is get her a Sig Mosquito (pepto-bismol pink, of course) with the nastiest .22LR I can find.

I know there are probably plenty of "wife gun" threads that I should be searching for, but if anyone has a semi-auto bigger than a .22LR in mind with a VERY easy slide, let me know because I've tried everything.

My wife is also tiny.... she has issues racking the slides of some handguns.

Someone on here can explain it better than I, but there is a way to rack the gun if you aren't strong enough to do it like most. It involves (if you are right handed) pushing the gun through the slide with your right hand rather than pulling the slide through the gun with your left.....

here's what I do....first my husband pretty much can't be in the room....he starts critique my method and that p*s me off and stresses me out. If I'm not concentrating on my gun I can't work on it. I can work on it if anyone else it around, just not him understand my hands are small and weak, from many, many years of needlework, and my left thumb is very, very weak since I tried to slice it off a couple of years ago. I take the gun in my right hand, CAREFULLY put my hand on top of the slide, you have to find just the right position, so that it won't be pinched, grip the slide, then push the gun with the right hand.

I hope this makes sense? there are still some guns that are too hard, but it helps at least.

That was exactly how I would recommend it for weak lefties. You basically hold the gun in your right hand across your chest, muzzle facing left, like you're going after someone at 9 o'clock. Grip the top of the slide with your left hand, thumb side at your chest. Watch the angle of your left elbow, in case of an AD. PUSH with your right hand, while getting a good grip with your left. It's how I taught my 83 year-old mom to do it.

Also, if the size of the gun doesn't matter, I'd look at a Walther, PK380. It's one of the easiest weapons to rack I've ever held. Low recoil, too. Both my elderly Dad and Mom can both do it.

What about a Browning Hi-Power (or clone). Fairly slim grip. Recoil spring isn't too heavy. Pistol full steel so felt recoil is small.

I started shooting with a .357 revolver. My hubby bought a S&W semi-auto, and you should have seen me trying to rack the slide......wasn't happening. I have very large hands for a female (I lay that one at my dad's door, as he has huge hands) and strong fingers (I'm a flutist and organist) but not strength in my lower arms nor overall hand strength. A few months ago, I bought a Beretta Storm 9mm (I did rent multiple guns at the range before I selected this one. Some I had a real hard time moving the slide, some I didn't). I brought it home, and started with the circus act of trying to rack the slide. Initially, I thought I had made a big mistake, however, with time I can now do it. I now own 4 semi-autos, the largest being a Beretta 92, and I now have no trouble moving the slide on any gun. I had to build up a little hand strength and learn what worked for me. It took a while. Perhaps starting with a semi-auto 22lr pistol might help, the one I have has a very small, easy to move slide, then work up from there.
