Looking for a new gun grease.

Now that is something I want, my pistol smelling like a car repair

I recently picked up something called "froglube" but I'm putting that through it's paces right now.

A friend of mine with HPD says Frog Lube is what their armorers are promoting. Their video demo is pretty impressive.

I'll probably be getting that when my Militec-1 runs out.

For oil, I use Automatic Transmission fluid. It stays longer and is super cheap.

I've used Miltec for ages. Just a thin film on the surface.

I just started using RyDol anti seize grease. I put a JP spring kit on the trigger of my AR JP recommended the use of RyDol grease on the sear engagement surfaces. I bought some and tried it so far I'm happy. RyDol reminds me of the old Gunslick from years ago it was a mixture of Sperm Wale oil and graphite. Mobil 1 is my oil of choice.

I live here on the Island , While most times I work Hi and dry, sometimes just onshore other times might be on a boat off shore. In the summer time I sweat a lot.
My carry guns are a plastic and steel modern marvels.

For cleaning I use a bore snake . front end with some Hoppes #9 and some 3 in one oil on the back end .. One swipe is all it takes.
I clean using those brightly colored microfiber towels. sometimes a quick scrub with a tooth brush a tiny drop of three in one oil on the rubbing pivoting metal parts.

Then I spray all the parts down with Liquid Wrench Silicone spray making sure that I get the rails and all the outside parts as well. I don't soak the gun but go for complete coverage.

I could be wrong, but its been drummed into me that oil and plastic don't mix well water just beads up on my guns. Maybe the oils greases and potions made for gun are better but 3 in one is cheap easy to control, and seems to do a good job. the silicone spray seems to be a good lubricant but its a great protectant.

Posts got me to disassemble my 1911 frames... a first for me. The full-size was ok and lubed with Gun Butter after a good cleaning. EDC compact had rust on the disconnector, sear, and sear spring. Learned that stainless pistols are not 100% stainless steel and that EDC 1911s need a bit more care, especially here on the Gulf.

Any argument for or against white lithium grease?

I've been using it alot on motorycle stuff and got curious.

It's good stuff, Lubraplate is white lithium grease and is what the military used on M1 and M14 rifles for years.
