Recently joined forum-- North Texas MD, new to guns a few years ago except for plinking a little with my Air Force brother as a teen. Got my CHL at the advice of an LEO after I had death threat from unstable person; found out I love shooting! 1st gun a Springfield XD40 which I love, have since tried XD40sc, traded it for Sig P238, got a new Beretta Nano and a Mossberg tactical 12g pump for home use. Got the boys to shoot and preach safety and professionalism-- my youngest is probably the best shot in the family! Still working on the wife who is coming around and is at least not afraid to shoot now. Looking for the ideal pocket gun/small deep concealment gun, preferably 9mm (have also come to appreciate common, cheaper ammo)-- boy, this gun thing gets addictive (and expensive)! Greatly appreciate forum to get multiple viewpoints and ideas, although it seems like the more I read the more guns I want... :txflag:

Hello everyone!

My name is David Bishop and I'm 44 yrs old. Just got my chl back around June. I'm from Killeen,Tx and I work in Austin. I'm a pipefitter by trade and am a project manager at one of the semiconductor plants. I have been an avid sporting clays shooter for the last 10 or so years. My screen name comes from the type of shotgun I shot for years although I have now gone to shooting a Blaser. I enjoy shooting all types of firearms. Especially shotguns and target type rifles/pistols. I've already gotten some good info from this site and hopefully, I can add some good info from time to time too.

thanks
Dave

Welcome, Dave! Glad you found and joined the site. We look forward to your posts.

I also enjoy sporting clays. You'll find a number of folks on this site that enjoy sporting clays, skeet, etc., as well as all the other types of shooting. I looked at the Blasers about a year ago... they are truly beautiful guns!!!!
