Where are you located? Many STI's are too high end for most dealers to stock.

Alright, I have called STI 4 times today, and still haven't gotten a human on the phone to discuss my warranty..... :banghead: :banghead:

I'm really starting to get :mad5

You probably don't know this, but the SHOT show is going on this week in Vegas. I'm not trying to make excuses for them, but they're probably operating on an extremely skeletal crew this week. Almost all STI employees are in Vegas.

If you're in the Austin area, Austin Gun Liquidators usually has some in stock.

I picked up an STI VIP a few weeks ago from Shooters Connection. I like the extra rounds and the grip does not feel that much bigger to me. I have about 300 rounds of round nose (wwb and rem.) and 100 rounds of hornady ftx, so far not a single malfunction and the sites are spot on. I think this one will soon replace my Kimber as my primary carry gun. Dont get me wrong, I love my Kimber, it was my first 1911 and I'll never sell it. I don't think you can go wrong with either, as long as you don't get the occasional lemon.
