Taurus PT-638

I have been looking for a double stack .380 for a while now. How did I not find the Taurus PT-638 until today? I just saw it at Academy.

It might be a good starting point for a weapon for my wife. The slide is relatively easy to pull as I would have expected from a midsized .380. Capacity is 15+1. Not too heavy, but not too light - I expect the recoil would be very manageable. DA/SA.

Interesting prospect ...

I have one in stainless I bought at Academy. It is very close to the PT-138 except for the increased capacity and a sight change. I sold the PT-138 because it was a picky eater, but am so happy with the new one that it is now my preferred carry. Of twelve types of ammo I have tried, it likes all but two.

I've been intrigued with this one as well, are you familiar with any after market sight options? They look to be the same size as the 24/7 series, do you know if they're compatible?? Thanks
a.k.a: 2LOGICL - While I do not enjoy the misery of others, I do find comfort in it.
