Stoeger 22Luger Safety

#1

Post by NAVY CHIEF »

Hey Y'all,
I partially disassembled my Stoeger Luger 22 (as per instruction manual for cleaning only) and as I was cleaning, somehow the safety latch/pin rotated off the detent. I have tried to rotate it back, tried to push the detent pin in with a punch and turning the safety latch back into position. But short of really putting some pressure on it (and possibly break the pin), how do I put it back in place?

Wish I could help, but in forty years, I've never needed to disassemble mine.

If I had one I would be able to help out in a heartbeat. I have a bad habit of completely tearing guns down when it's not necessary. I always manage to get them put back together correctly though, there's good incentive!

Chief, somewhere in my files at home I think I have a teardown/reassembly guide for that pistol.
I recall it was a bit tricky. Drop me an email at the addy listed in my profile and I'll look for it when I get home.
