Ranges in Ft Worth

#1

Post by wgoforth »

I am to be in Fort Worth preaching for a week in Nov. I have been told that ranges in Ft Worth allow no double taps or head shots. Are there any ranges, preferably indoors, in which that is not the case? I've never even been to a range in which that was the case.
Thanks

I am sure we can come up with something. What part of Ft Worth are you gonna be in? This isn't like Brownwood, ya know, when you can get all the way across town in 2 minutes. ;-)

Very true! However, that means we're also used to driving 2 hours to get what we need. The church and hotel I'll be at will be at 6110 White Settlement. We have to meet up while there!

Elk Castle Gun Shop and Range is only a few blocks from there on I30 at Cherry Lane. They are picky about what kind of ammo you use, but they are, without a doubt, one of the cleanest indoor ranges around. I will check about double taps. Headshots are no problem.

And yes, we do have to get together.

Shoot Smart gun range has a "private" lane where you can shoot from the holster, rapid fire, double taps, etc. They are located on Hwy 35 North. See link below.

Call "On Target" in Benbrook on Hwy 377. They are at the 1187 intersection. That is a nice multi-lane indoor range where I shoot. Should be on your way up from Brownwood. They may be able to accommodate your needs.

Indoor ranges - I like Shootsmart and also On Target. Shootsmart is my first choice because its only 5 min up the highway from me. Great folks, lighting on the lanes is good and air circulation is good.

Outdoor - I prefer Alpine Shooting range to all other OUTDOOR Ranges in the Ft Worth area.

+1 for ShootSmart. Very nice folks, very nice well air-conditioned range. About halfway between Elk City and ShootSmart for me, but it's closer to my work.

Gotta get down to Alpine, sometime this fall.

Thanks all! Quite a list. Surely one of those will be close enough to drive from the Whie settlement Rd area.
