Trigger Control off the Range
I'd like to see if the rest of you have noticed that you have proper trigger control even when not handling firearms.
I found myself using proper trigger control today while carrying my cordless drill from one room to another. (yes, AND proper muzzle control...)
Also find myself doing the same with a bottle of windex.

I sure have noticed it. It's pretty funny that you mention indexing with a drill, because I've noticed myself doing the same exact thing whenever I handle one. Pretty neat to see our habits carry over like that on a consistent basis.

Re: Trigger Control off the Range
I do keep my finger off the trigger with power tools now, though I think I always did. I know I've always "put the safety on", that is put the selector switch in that non-working position between forward and reverse (if there is one). I suspect I practice proper muzzle control as well, but I don't actively pay attention to it unless I'm holding a firearm.
Hmm... Now I'm curious...

When cleaning glass, I like to double tap.
If it's really dirty, rapid fire is in order.

I built a holster for my drill. But will stop there. I have too many pistol holsters in a trunk. I might have learned a lesson.

Re: Trigger Control off the Range
Since I cross train in HapKiDo, I've gotten used to keeping my index finger (ki finger) straight when gripping most anything, from drinking glasses, motorcycle levers, most anything I grab. So pistol handles are a natural grip for me with my index finger at register.

This is probably why I have to use my thumb for the TV remote.

Creates real problems when using the restroom...and a real mess.
A triple tap is most necessary.

I'd like to forward this to her to see if she finds it as humorous as I did.
