HELP checkered back strap eating my side...
I have a Kimber Ultra Carry II and it has a checkered back strap that is eating on me. It makes the gun impossible to carry without something like an under shirt in between me and the gun.
Is there a wrap or something I can use to cover the checkering?

You might try the Hogue Hand-all grips http://www.coolcopgear.com/Hogue/glock.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;Astro wrote:I have a Kimber Ultra Carry II and it has a checkered back strap that is eating on me. I never carry without an undershirt, I just find it too uncomfortable without one. So the easiest solution in my book is to always wear an undershirt, but if you would rather try the grip route, Hogue grips look fairly decent.

I don't think the Hogue fit all type grip will work. See it's the bottom left corner that rubs and I don't think it will go down far enough. Plus I already have rubber Hogue grips on my the Kimber.....They are awesome!

I agree with a mainspring housing swap. It is a cheap, easy fix and you don't have to alter your wardrobe or change your grip. I had to swap out the grips on my CDP because of the checkering, went with VZ 320s. Even with a wife beater on, I couldn't take the checkered OEM grips.

A Kholster will solve the problem. No part of the pistol will touch you anywhere. I have several and they are very comfortable.Astro wrote:I have a Kimber Ultra Carry II and it has a checkered back strap that is eating on me.
