It ain't designed to feel good in the hand, it's designed to feel good in the pocket. I carry an LCP in my pocket everyday; I shoot it about once a month. Now if it were the other way around then I would probably hate my LCP.

I understand what they are designed for, but below the trigger guard on an LCP/Kel-Tec/TCP, I can get my middle finger, and less than 1/2 of my ring finger. Yes, I could buy the magazine extensions, which are marginally better. With the DB, I get 2 full fingers BEFORE the magazine extension. I compared the DB to my buddy's LCP before I bought it, and they are almost identical in size, and it rides great in the pocket. I guess if you have not held one or shot one, you might not appreciate the difference between them, but I have, and I do. I dont appreciate the fact that it is un-reliable. Being that it has already been back to the manufacturer and is STILL not reliable, I will be getting rid of mine as well.

The DB does feel better in the hand, it shoots much better than the LCP, has a better trigger, it also looks better although that is subjective. The problem is that they just do not run reliably and that is an issue, a major issue. If the DB was a range gun just maybe it could be tolerable, since it is made for concealed carry I find it totally unacceptable...

For me LCP range time has been more like eating my vegetables; It's not the tastiest, but it has to be done. I've gotten where I can hit the center of the target good enough for self defense at 7 yards and I really need to believe that I can hit the target with a daily carry. Now once I've spent my obligatory time with the LCP then it's time to work with my 9 and play with my .22. I will say this though-When the little LCP was my only hand gun, it was not as fun to go to the range; so buy other guns that are fun to shoot and continue to carry the gun that is fun to carry.

That's a pretty good analogy. It's almost like more of a chore than a treat. ;-)

Oh yea-Shooting it is a chore, but the reward is a comfortable, easy gun to carry. Now I wouldn't eat my vegetables without a biiiiig slice of about 200 rounds through my Taurus 94 afterward (Can't wait for my new grips-should be here any day).

And I have the opposite experience with mine: I like to shoot it. I also have large hands, so my shots tended to drop due to pivoting on only the middle finger on that long trigger pull. Some work on my shooting grip/trigger pull and the finger extensions for the mags has fixed this. The fit thing seems to be very subjective, and I haven't quite nailed down the factors that contribute to it. The only commonality between myself and the other two people I know who like to shoot them is that we all have meatier hands than average, so it may be a backstrap dimensional thing.

It now groups very well for me, for such a tiny gun, and I've got my reloads tuned to shoot pretty tight and consistent groups using Bullseye powder and Berry's 100 grain plated bullets.

I know I'm the oddball here, but I like my DB380 and carry it.
I've never had issues with rounds getting stuck on the firing pin mid mag, only with a fresh mag after the trigger has been pulled.

The first 200 or so rounds, I had problems like failure to extract, stovepipes, etc.
After around 200 rounds it got more and more reliable to the point that I am now comfortable carrying it. I just doesn't seem to have the problems it had when it was new.

Although I am happy with the one I own, if I lost it, I'd probably go with a Keltek 380 instead since my Keltek P32 has been super reliable.

I put up a post a while back about my problems with the sig p238, traded that for the kahr p380. I had problems feeding speer gold dot through it (sucks cause i love gold dot). Sent it back and they were amazing. It got to Kahr on a thursday and i had it back on the next tuesday. Polished with new recoil springs. they even polished the slide release. They recomended i use federal hp's instead of speer. I have federal fmj's in it now partly due to feed issues with little guns and partly due to winter coming and heavier clothes being worn. Either way the Kahr is top notch. i keep it 6+1 all the time in a pocket holster that covers the trigger gaurd completley. I've been practicing but its a little tricky to get out of your pocket compared to my blackhawk button retention paddle holster for my Glock :fire
