Longtooth, Is the Storm a 9mm or a .40? Once you'all get it out on the
range tell me how you like it. I'm particularly interested in the trigger pull.
Looking for new firearm

It will be a 9mm. She will shoot it at the range & her house gun. I have been hoping to find a 9 that she really, Really, REALLY liked that was small enough for me to carry deep in a Kangaroo when I need a tucked shirt & no coat. That one may work.
The trigger at the store was good out of the box. Great out of the box if you have not shot a top end gun for a long time. I shoot a Kimber Pro & the SA trigger on the Storm is still good out of the box. Specially for the price.
Will give range report 1st time out. Really don't know when that is going to be. We will go get it after she gets off work tomorrow. Dark. Mom is hunting Sat morn, I have a Vets parade at mid day, back on the stand afternoon. Mon-Wed Mom is taking off work to hunt. After she gets one then I will start hunting instead of backup.
She started shooting rifle 4 yr ago. Last yr was her 1st to hunt.
She is accurate out to 100 w/ her 25.06 but slow.
She says "they wont stand still."
No maam still deer don't live long healthy lives when bobcats & coyotes live in the woods.
She is really trying hard. Hope to get her one.
Did not mean to hijack the thread so back on topic.
Soon as I get the wife, gun, & probably mom to the range I will get a report.

I'm not kissin ya! BUT I will give you a MONSTER hug if you pick one up for me I hope that she enjoys it and that is serves her well for many many years. Take care.

Thank you Jason. Big as you are, any hug would be a monster. Christmas guns are for kisses & you just dont fit the description. Me ladies & grandones.
She shares good so will let you shoot it. I know she will.

Not that it matters, but you may want to look into a Kahr CW9. ElGato has one and it is one sweet shooter! Single stack compact 9mm that may fit what you're looking for.longtooth wrote:It will be a 9mm. She will shoot it at the range & her house gun. Well, fiddlesticks. Air conditioner fritzed and is gonna cost me just over $2,500 to fix, and even though it's nearing Thanksgiving and, hopefully, cooling down, I can't put that off. That's the equivalent of a pretty sweet custom 1911.
That'll put a crimp in then "new handgun" shopping cart for Christmas. The pull may still be just too great to ignore, though. And after all, if I end up having to wait a few months for a custom piece, I have time to save a few more bucks for the war chest...

Yes sir, I know the feeling. I've been stashing away lately, and the last week that little thing called "life" started happening...$50 here, $150 there, 10th anniversary coming up, Christmas...just a bad time to be planning on a new purchase, huh?Skiprr wrote:Well, fiddlesticks.
