We gave up on the "Sopranos" because of the profanity. There are times when the profanity is appropriate but not being from New Jersey, we thought every other word to be excessive.

I'm not from New Jersey, but having lived there for just over a year, I can tell you that quite a few of them do indeed talk like that.
