Glock internals questions

Re: Glock internals questions
I am a Glock guy. I own 6 of them. I have a full blown Race G22C with everything imaginable done to it. Titanium striker, Titanium safety, Titanium extractor plunger, Titanium pins, Glockworx Fulcrum trigger, Glockworx Competition Spring set (4lb striker spring, 6lb trigger spring, lighter safety spring) Glockworx 2lb connector, Sprinco recoil reducer, The magwell, Warren Sevigney Tactical sights, and the thing shoots POA out to 100yds or more.
My carry piece is a G23 RTF2, 3.5lb connector, Glockworx Fulcrum trigger, Titanium Striker/safety/extractor plunger, Glockworx spring set, LaserMax internal guide rod. In a Galco F.L.E.T.C.H. Holster at 2:30 with Galco gunbelt.
Through trial and error and lots of wasted money, my personal Must-Have list for all my glocks is:
Sprinco recoil reducer. ( most can be found used at Gunbroker for under 30 bucks)
Titanium Striker. ( http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewIt ... =174317475" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) makes the trigger break like glass.
6lb trigger spring and 4lb striker spring.
Whichever trigger connector you like. (I use Glock) Glock doesnt make the 3.5lb connector anymore but there are plenty to be had still. Ghost Rocket Ultimate connector has built in overtravel stop. (must have also if you do not own a Fulcrum Trigger.)
These add-ons can seriously flatten the learning curve for new shooters, and not effect reliability.

Is that with factory ammo or do you handload? That sounds incredible to have no bullet drop out to 100 yards or more.Steven420 wrote:I am a Glock guy. I own 6 of them. Call me nutty, but I take a Glock out of the box and don't feel the need to change anything before I use it ![Mr. Green ](./images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)

Absolutely NO WAY there is no drop out to 100 yards. That would only be possible if you shoot straight up in the air. loljester wrote:Is that with factory ammo or do you handload? Re: Glock internals questions
For a carry gun I like the extended slide release. It caters to gross motor skill movement, and can be helpful if you start taking hits in the arms.

Re: Glock internals questions
All I've done to my carry G19 is add night sights and swap out the serrated "target" trigger for the smooth trigger--I've come back from range trips with a blister on my trigger finger from the serrated trigger. I'm considering changing the standard slide stop for an extended one, but I haven't made a decision yet.
After 11 years I would consider getting a new factory recoil spring no matter what the test says. It's a $7 part from Midway and after what I assume are thousands of rounds it is cheap insurance to replace it now rather wait to have stoppages.

Re: Glock internals questions
Only glock mods installed on any of mine are extended slide and magazine releases. I modified the magazine release by sanding it down because it was severely scuffing the leather of my crossbreed holster other than that I have a couple standard factory springs and other internals should they need replacement.

Re: Glock internals questions
Hey packa45, welcome to the forum.
And thanks for reminding me of this old thread. This was the beginning of my Glock garage armorer conversion
since then I've done full grip stippling jobs and all sorts of other crazy things to Glocks. Don't even own that G23 anymore, but still have other Glocks.
Fun trip down memory lane.
