Joe817, all you would need to do is put on a few more pounds... then the % of weight would be less and it wouldn't feel so bad. :)

Have y'all ever noticed those great big tall pick-up trucks that the driver and any passengers have to climb up and into.

Thanks for the pix. Let me ask you about the Springer you showed :
1. Has that 5" barrel been extended?
2. What is the item in front of the trigger guard?

Andra:
Thank you for the explanations about the gun's accessories.
With regard to ported guns, isn't the upside that recoil is
dissipated, but the downside is that hot gases may burn your
hand or face while shooting such a weapon?

That should be real fun to shoot at night; especially, in a combat situation.AndyC wrote:There are a lot of hot gas and particles which come venting up outta that thing, but the design works very well if you hold the pistol at arms' length. You would have to be very careful if shooting it from anything less than extended arms and/or below eye-level because that nasty stuff can easily put out an eye. You don't want to shoot it from the hip, for example.
Here's a classic example of a comp in action:

I carry the single-stack Kimber and two spare magazines. Since I use the 8-round Wilson Combat mags, that gives me 25 rounds if I have one in the pipe. :-)rm9792 wrote:In response to MojoTexas I carry a single stack Kimber CDP Pro normally but if I have to go to a bad area I carry the doublestack and a spare mag. 27rds available!
