Single Stack .45 Carry input

#1

Post by Diode »

Ok, suppose I wanted a Single stack .45 so it was thin. SA/DA so I don't have to worry about amby safety. I also prefer the metal frame rather than Polymer. What would be options. Something about the overall size of my Baby Eagle Compact but in .45acp ...

I love making wish list in here!

I have not held one yet, I do like my P-226. I'll find one at the next gun show.

The 220 is a great gun. I just sold one, but only because I prefer the 1911 configuration.

I enjoy my Colt Double Eagle (commander-size) in SS.

All guns have at least two safeties. One's digital, one's cognitive. In other words - keep the digit off the trigger until ready to fire, and THINK. Some guns also have mechanical safeties on top of those. But if the first two don't work, the mechanical ones aren't guaranteed. - me

I am scared of empty guns and keep mine loaded at all times. The family knows the guns are loaded and treats them with respect. Loaded guns cause few accidents; empty guns kill people every year. -Elmer Keith. 1961

I'll go one further and recommend the P220DAK. No need to remember to decock using a lever that's not designed for lefties. The "K" trigger is NOT the same as traditional DAO triggers and is a far cry from SIGs own DAO variants of the past. Drop by Top Gun, they've got three DAK models in the rental fleet. You may decide you hate it, but it's at least worth a look if you've never tried it.
When you take the time out of your day to beat someone, it has a much longer lasting effect on their demeanor than simply shooting or tazing them.
