Anyone know where I can find a good couple of gunfight statistics?

You know:

Average shots fired

Average distance

Time of day

ETC

I don't know if the Bureau of Justice Statistics keeps those records, but they have data for just about everything else involving police, firearms, crime, etc.

They are the statisitics of failure, but if you want to look at the FBI's summary of officers killed you can find it here:
