Trijicon Installation

#1

Post by Chris B. »

I just purchased Trijicon night sights, and I need to find a gunsmith preferably on the northeast side of Houston. Gander Mountain charges $70 and Carter's Country is $50 but takes a week. If you have had a good experience with one please let me know which gunsmith and if they are reasonably priced.

Thanks

I would be interested too. I still don't have my ACOG set up to my satisfaction. (Despite the USMC manual included being geared to a 7th grade education level, it is above my head).

I don't have a recommendation in Houston, but I ran into an issue in Austin where Red's didn't want to install night sights unless I'd purchased them there. Apparently they don't want to be on the hook if they break or damage them during the installation.

Hopefully you have better luck. I'm sure someone is willing to do it.
If I had a gun for every ace I have drawn, I could arm a town the size of Abilene.

Shooter's Station in Conroe (Hwy 105 West) will do it while you wait, but their gunsmith only works on Saturdays. If you go in on Saturday while he's there, he'll install them while you wait, and it's $50. They're a bit out of the way, but they do good work, and I like their indoor range ($12/hour).
