Anybody in DFW Still sell Black Powder?

Post by p99guy »

Hi All,
I never imagined this stuff being rare.....It seems so far getting a can of black powder is like trying to get a leaky bucket of Uranium 235 from Seven Elevan lol. ANYBODY have the real stuff anymore...pyrodex just is'nt the same.

My dad wonders the same thing, he's got a Revolutionary war remake (don't know the model) and has been looking around for a while as well. I've been told that the codes for storing it are so strict that it's not even worth the hassle, good luck in your endeavor, let us know if you find anything.
The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions, that I wish it to be always kept alive. It will often be exercised when wrong, but better so than not to be exercised at all. I like a little rebellion now and then. It is like a storm in the atmosphere. -Thomas Jefferson

Have you tried Cabela's? If they don't have the brand of powder you're looking for maybe they can order it for you?

I know Jackson Arms in Dallas, across the street from SMU use to sell it because I've seen ffg, and fffg there. But that was a long time ago.

Try Winchester Gallery in F.W. Call before you go. Other than that.....sorry I can't help you.

You could grab a bag of Kingsford, some Salt Peter, and some Sulfur and just make your own.

Jus grind everything fine seperately and mix slowly and gently. . . :evil2:
