Sorry IANAL, I did not see your post when I last posted. My point was that I know of no activity under 46.15 (4) where it is common to use a bayonet. So it is apparent to me this is not an exception to 46.02.

I've always understood informal marksmanship to be a sporting activity.

But by all means do what you think is best. I don't see a use for a bayonet at a range.

Hey, you could go fishing. Shoot the fish and use the bayonet to clean them. :smile:
