It is a either a bit late or a bit early in the year to be looking for a new summer time carry isn't it? The pistols that you mention ring a bell, and I'm sure that a search would help you out whilst waiting on Monday AM opinions.

Friend has one & I have shot it. Reliable. For a small pocket pistol feels good in my hand. Mine are small. YMMV. If you are recoil sensative you might think about it or make sure you shoot one first. The 9mm in that small & light a handgun does bounce some. I do not see it as excessive at all.

One of our members has one for sale. I have no interest in this gun or the sale.

Just curious, what did you carry last summer? I bet you are like a lot of us and just get the "wants" for a new gun now and then. Summertime carry is as good an excuse as any. :smilelol5:

I have a PF9 as a CCW. It is a great little gun and mine is very accurate out to about 20 yards. I trade off between it or my LCP
depending on how I am going to carry. If I have my shirt tail out I carry the PF9 in a Fobus paddle holster, if I have my shirt tucked in
I carry the LCP in my back pocket in a leather wallet holster.

the PF9 is my daily carry
I carry it in a Kholster at 4:00 o'clock
this weapon is small, light and thin and shoots 9mm rounds, a potent package

Nic weapon, especially for the money. I will be buying one at some point. With the right pants, it can be easily pocket carried.

With .380 ammo so scarce, and 9mm being so available I've started thinking about adding a 9mm to my arsenal. I've looked at the Kel-tec PF9 a couple of times and at first glance I wasn't too impressed. The gun seemed pretty rough and crude. I've never shot one, but I can imagine the recoil being pretty sharp. The price is not a problem - pretty affordable actually. What I am looking for is a little reassurance from forum members who have experience with this gun. Are you confident in it's reliability? Thanks,

I bought a PF-9 at a gun show for 279.00 + tax.

First shot it without cleaning it (don't flame me), and it had a lot of ftf's.
I was pretty upset----then I cleaned and lubed it AND cleaned the filings out of the firing pin channel and it hasn't missed a beat since!

Great gun for the $$$ IMHO

He kept it up until a hunter came along and shot him.

I've shot one enough to have enough confidence that I will be buying one at some time in the future.

After reading comments here and doing some additional research I think my reservations about the Kel-tec PF9 may be unwarranted. At any rate, I've decided to put it on my "to buy" list. Now it's time to go shopping. :thumbs2:

I've heard good things and bad things. I was at the local over here on the sw side and was looking at a PF9 or the new Taurus slim 709. When I picked up the PF9 it felt great pointed well, but when I tried to eject the mag it didn't budge. This was a brand new gun. So I tried it several times and it just seemd to finicky, like it had to be gently convinced to leave the gun. So I got the taurus. I just had to many doubts to feel comfortable with it. It is very possible that it was just that gun though. But you know how first impressions are. :txflag:

Was that at Collector's? I know they have a Kel-tec pf 9 Blue for $349.00. I was going to look at it tomorrow. Maybe I should wait. I think the price is a little high. :???:

The Powderhorn, They wanted $409 for the Taurus and the PF9 was about a $100 cheaper, can't remember exactly.
