UC Davis study - gun shows
I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this, but here it goes.
http://www.ucdmc.ucdavis.edu/newsroom/r ... index.html
UC Davis released a "study" entitled:
" Inside Gun Shows: What goes on when everybody thinks nobody's watching"
I haven't had a chance to read through it yet, but the executive summary is a farce. The videos the researchers attached show precious little in the way of any sort of crime or even borderline criminal behavior, but they seem to want folks to think otherwise.
enjoy it for what it is - I'm sure we'll be seeing this on the news in a week or two.

Re: UC Davis study - gun shows
Note that this is from California. "University studies" like this, especially from medical schools are very bias against guns. I believe that most emergency room doctors who see the first-hand effects of gunshot wounds probably believe in strict gun control. I know a couple of ER doctors that served in Vietnam who are very anti-gun.

LOL. They were in the rear. Everybody I ever knew from the front lines of any war were pro gun.I know a couple of ER doctors that served in Vietnam who are very anti-gun.

I am impressed they used magazine instead of clip and they knew what a muzzle brake does.

Re: UC Davis study - gun shows
After reading their study and watching the videos, I couldn't find much that looked bad. Mostly looks like they take a picture and add their own story to make it look bad. The straw purchase did look like it may have been a straw purchase though. Also did anyone else notice their time stamp for the videos? I saw 1968, and 2010 for the year several times. You would think something that was going to be used and released to the public should look correct. Other than that I think there were some pretty nice ARs in the videos.

Re: UC Davis study - gun shows
This is no study. They went in looking for something illegal going on and found nothing. A straw purchase cannot be proven because of what is only seen. I can record people in a park and suggest that the man setting watching his own kids is a perv and about to commit a crime. When things are taken out of context and then a suggestion is made nothing is proven. It is nothing but the people doing the study looking for something for the establishment media to point to and run their terrible video with the schools fantasy commentary. All of the “studies” the anti-freedom types point to is always proven to be garbage but that never stops the Leftists from using them as proof.
