Hello all..just found the forum last week while researching CHL information. I am 39, father of three, longtime shooter and guitar player. Sigs are my guns of choice and I try and shoot my 239 twice monthly. My CHL paperwork was just sent in yesterday, and I hope to the licensed by the end of this year (stretch but I can hope).
07/25/2009 - Online application complete
08/16/2009 - CHL Class
08/19/2009 - CHL Application Mailed
08/24/2009 - Application Received
09/21/2009 - CHL application processing
11/04/2009 - Application Approved
11/06/2009 - Plastic in hand

Welcome Webb! It took me 5 months and two weeks from start to finish. That was at the first of the year so maybe things has eased a little.

Hello everyone,

Compliments on this wonerderful site and resource. I am 48, father of two boys 6 and 8. Married to a beautiful (stated humbly) redheaded RN 38yo lady. We live in Alpine, TX (thank GOD).
I grew up (very fortunately) in my father and grandfather's gun culture -- a true gift. CHL since 1/09, took course from Donnie Newberry -- fantastic instructor! NRA lifetime member.
When I carry -- HK P7M13, Milt Sparks VMII, sometimes Maxpedition Jumbo-Versipack. I bought my P7 (new) back in '85. In real estate (family business) since young age......

Thank you!
