Almost always after every range session. Occasionally, I'll leave it for a few days before getting it done; and extremely rarely, I'll let it go until after the next range session. A lot of it has to do with the number of rounds sent downrange through that weapon during the range session. If all I did was fire one magazine load of my carry ammunition through my Kimber UC II, then I probably won't clean it right away. OTH, if I also fired 100 rounds of practice ammo through the same pistol, I'll almost certainly clean it right afterwards.

The rule is: If the firearm in question is one of my carry pistols, it is dirty from lots of practice ammo, and it is going to be worn that day or the next, it gets cleaned as soon as I get home.

I clean and lube after every range trip regardless of round count just to be safe. I like it ready to go when I NEED it.

After every range session. I broke down and cleaned it yesterday. Haven't been to the range in about a month and a half now (low on money AND ammo) but it was looking dirty from carrying it, so I cleaned it anyway. Felt wrong to clean it without shooting first though... "rlol"

My carry gun-once a week full scrub with hoppes 9 if shot just field strip and wipedown with CLP if not shot if more than 150 rounds shot it gets cleaned as soon as I get home.
Other guns-once a month unless shot then right after shooting.
Reasonable gun control is hitting your target with the first shot.

After every range trip, not necessarily immediately afterwords but with in a few days. The Kimber (carry weapon) gets an external wipe down and soaking with CLP ~weekly and a field strip approximately once a month with Hoppe's No. 9 and CLP.

Yes, I was turned onto it from the AR Community.. lots of EBR Users swear on it.

I've been using it for a while now, and it appears to work very well.

The only thing I Don't like about it, is the smell. It doesn't smell 'Good' Like Hoppes or WD-40, at least to me.

Also, I clean mine after every Range session. Most times that day or evening, but If I cant get to it, the longest I've waited was until the next day.
