1944 M1 CARBINE .30 cal

#1

Post by bevans »

Hello all I lost my dad in january and was cleaning out his workroom and found a M1 carbine .30 cal made by IBM in 1944. Its in a case marked Davis shoe comp. 1943 , my mom says she remembers him returning from Korea with it. It is in good shape but the clip has some light rust . I had no idea he had this gun cause it wasen't in his safe for some reason. I have no idea how he came about this rifle cause as a pilot in the airforce I have his .45 but i was unaware that he would had a carbine. I have been looking at gun broker and gun trader and the value is anywhere from $100.00 to about $2799.00. Does anybody have any idea of worth or rareity . it was made by IBM which had the 3 rd least production numbers.
I used to think my dad was wrong about everything but as I get older I realize that he was dead on
