I like evil brown rifles.

I have a Yugo SKS, going to be picking up my first AK style rifle next week, and hopefully at some point in the future I will have an M1A.

I like the AR platform. Green, brown, black...I don't discriminate!

5.56, 9mm, and 22lr.

9mm for fun, and it's the one that my wife likes to shoot. Currently set up with a CAVARMs lower for weight and A1 length.

I like to keep my AR's fairly simple and clean. Eotech, FF tube. I also likes brakes. Not that the recoil is hard with the 5.56, but it helps to keep the muzzle down, and you can see your shots hit at 200 yards. Yes, I know it's loud. One other accessory that I swear by...The MGI buffer. Expensive for a buffer, but damn! the thing works as advertised. Works in 9mm and 5.56mm. I've tried others, (Cough..Endine Cough) but this one works without giving up reliability.

I had a precision rifle for a while, just didn't do anything for me.

Shotguns BABY! I love the shotty. I spend more time with my shotguns than anything else. I have a Remy 1100CM that eats just about everything. Runs dry, dirty, wet...doesn't matter. I can shoot it all day. I had a M1 Benelli before, and I'll never go back.

For fun, I shoot clays with the 1100CM a couple of times a month. Mostly trap, and I have gone 25/25, 92/100.

Picked up a 20 O/U Yildiz. A Turkish made shotgun available at Academy. Light, good wood, 5 chokes, and backed by Briley out of Houston. Best deal around. Entry level guns for under $400. IMO, much better than the Bakail/Remington Spartan I owned before. The 12ga. is also pretty good, but the light weight makes the recoil pretty stiff. It needs a better pad if you're going to shoot 100's a rounds a day.

I have a 100 round drum and a 75 round drum. I believe the one on this rifle is 75 rounds.

I have a few 10/22's and a break barrel 30-06, but my all time favorite lead recycler is my Beretta CX4. I've got it setup with a cheap red dot that seems to holdits zero well. I consider it extremely accurate up to 50yds and good to 100. Not so great from 150yds and out. It is, after all...only a pistol cartridge. Still, it is accurate, comfortable, easy to maintain, reliable and fits my "evil black weapon" profile quite well. I added all the rails, vertical grip, and PX4 mag adapter for mag interchangeability with my PX4 pistol. In a word, it's "fun" and I can't seem to keep enough ammo around for it.

Those do look pretty cool. I've been impressed with my Beretta Extreema 3.5. They really seem to be putting out some cool stuff these days. I've considered adding one of those to my collection. What calibers does it come in? Is in 9mm only?

I currently own three Kalashnikov-47's, an Egyptian and a pair of Romanians. An unissued Yugo SKS. A 1939 Mosin-Nagant 91/30 (Tula), a 10/22, and a Winchester 1300 Defender.

I have a Springfield Armory Field Grade Garand on order, and plan to order a 1903 in the near future.

I don't shoot from a bench, I use only my body for support, and I practice only with iron sights.

A very good friend of mine has a German K98 Mauser, and I really want to add one of those to my collection. I love shooting his rifle so much that I bought him a case of ammo for it. That thing is SWEET!

I am primarily an NRA long range prone competitor. Long range is any distance beyond 600 yds. 300 to 600 yard matches are considered mid-range.

My "black rifle" days are over, having shot one iteration or another for 10 years while in the Marine Corps and competing with a AR-15 based space rifle in NRA "across the course" matches.

I use two rifles for mid and long range matches. The first is built on an RPA Quadlock single shot bolt action with a Krieger 30" barrel in a Robertson H&H stock. The second uses a Barnard action with a Border 30" barrel in an H&H stock. Both rifles comply with international Palma rules. 6.5 kg max weight, 1.5 kg trigger weight. Both are .308's using the Sierra 155 grain bullet. Both use Warner aperture sights (iron sights).

I have an Anschutz 1907 barreled action .22 rimfire in a similar stock with aperture sights for practice.

The two .308's are extremely accurate and helped me earn an NRA high master long range rating. Typical 300 yd groups from prone position with sling is less than 3" and 1000 yd groups are mainly in the 10 ring (when I make the right wind call).

The challenge at long distance is reading the wind. A one MPH full value change moves my bullet 10" at 1000 yds.

Andrew Werner, BobCat, has shot our 300 yd matches and can attest to the difficulty of keeping your shot in the X-ring.

there is nothing like a shoulder bruise from a german mauser.

I got a C&R license last year. it's the absolute worst thing you can do to your finances.
