Belt Question
Here's a question about a belt I am trying to find.
For lack of a better description, it's like the one that 'Walker, Texas Ranger' wears on the tv shows.
Western style black leather, silver slip through buckle, silver tip and silver belt loop.
I want something thick enough to wear everyday for concealed carry, but with the above style. Kydex or polymer insert might be nice also.
Can anyone point me in a direction ?
I sure would appreciate any links in this direction !
Thanks in advance,
Dave

You might be able to buy the buckle of your choice, and have a gun belt made for it. A good Western wear store would have the buckles - they're sold separately from the belts. Cavender's stores are everywhere...

I just got a custom sharkskin belt made. I love it. It's 1 1/2" wide but tapers in front to 1 1/4" to make bending over a bit more comfortable. It's 3/16" thick and is pefect for all my holsters. It really makes a huge difference and plasters my holster to my side. I no longer find it difficult to carry my full size Beretta anymore. Here's a pic. It's from Rafter S Gunleather. The mathcing sharkskin holster is also fromm Rafter S Gunleather and their prices are excellent.

Thanks folks.
I settled on a 1 1/2 inch wide plain black ranger belt from Durango leather:
http://www.dgunleather.com/dutygear/belts/belts.html
Made and delivered in 2 to 2 1/2 weeks, total cost of $106.00
Now on to my next project..... a new Para Ordinance 45 ACP with a 3 1/2 inch barrel. Time to go study the different models !
I like my Kimber Ultra Carry II just fine, but I'm kinda leaning towards a double action 45. As an old wheel gunner, I tend to favor DA a little more.
Decisions, decisions......

Wt loss, if you really are too big will help a lot. I will be an encourager for that. I dropped 40 ablout 3.5 yr ago. I really feel better & refuse to go back. The "right hole" on my belt is the 1st indication that I need to get rid of a couple LBS now. Never yet had to say,"Hey, wife, believe I can add a couple pounds in the next week cause the belt is getting a little loose." ![Rolling Eyes ](./images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif)
