Bulk Ammo purchase

#1

Post by The Marshal »

Anyone tried this/have some insight?

Wouldn't mind buying a large amount of .45 ammo if a bulk purchase would knock the price down some.

I suggest it, Swing by the gun show this weekend or any gun show, can find good reals there. Or check gunbroker.com.

Hope this helps.

http://www.natchezss.com has 45acp blazer for $8.29 per box if you buy at least 10 boxes.
That's the cheapest I am aware of at this time. Blazer Brass is under $10 at Walmart. +tax of course.

45acp ammo prices are creaping up and I have been told by a couple of retailers that Winchester is NOT shipping any white boxed 45acp, 9mm or 5.56 to consumer retail centers until after July 15th. I also heard that JUly 1 there is going to be a substantial price increase.

My favorite factory target ammo, Winchester USA45A 185gr fmj (not winclean), is nowhere to be found. I have a single case left and I am treating it like gold.

HV, you are highly correct. I take so many magazines that I do not remember which one it was w/o going back to look but one did an article on the price increase that was about to take place & also said that following that (by about 6 months I think) there would be the same jump in reloading componants. I have started stocking up too.

I went to the last gun show at BRg and I could beat all their .40 and .45 prices at Wal-Mart , I also heard the preice on ammo is going up. Metal prices over all (my brother is in the electrical supply bidness) are going up so I would expect ammo to follow suite. I have been trying to stock u pa little.

I picked up 2k rounds of blazer 9mm yesterday at Academy for $210 after tax. I should have stocked up when it was under $4 per box but I decided not to wait until it was >$5 per.
Tomorrow I'm going to get classified in SSP with my Glock 17 so I can keep shooting as many matches as possible but save money (50%) on ammo.

I know I should be reloading.
