Gun Belt
Does anybody know where I can get a good 1.5" belt for IWB carry? I'm trying to find a place locally I can pick one up in the DFW area. Don't want to wait or pay for shipping. Thanks

You might try http://www.dmbullardleather.com/.

Cabella's might also have a limited selection of sturdy double-thickness belts. They would not be likely to advertise them as gun belt, though.

I work right down the street from Cabellas, and I have never seen any there. DM Bullard would be a good local source.

If you can find a store that sells this belt in your area I HIGHLY recommend it. It is great. I carry a XD.45 4" and I NEVER have to readjust and it NEVER slips. Again I highly recommend this belt.

Re: Gun Belt
I wear a DM Bullard belt every day. It is an excellent item, but unless you are prepared to drive to Azle (Dave Bullard works out of his home), you're still going to have to pay for shipping. Oh, and he's on the road a lot, going to gun shows and such, so you're better off just ordering and having it shipped.

Re: Gun Belt
I bought mine from Cabela's (Fort Worth) about 4 months ago, it was supposed to 39.95 but they had it on sale for 12.95. I went back for a couple more once I found out what the price was, but the one I had was the only one on the rack. I have no complaints so far.CodeJockey wrote:I work right down the street from Cabellas, and I have never seen any there. DM Bullard would be a good local source.

Re: Gun Belt
I, too love my Beltman belt, and I wear it every day. I also bought my Beltman belt from a local gun shop (well relatively local for me) in College Station. Not exactly local for the DFW area. Though the OP should check with a few of his favorite gun shops. They often carry gun belts by Galco or other brands, if he wears a fairly common size. I have a couple of gun shops within an hour of me that I can count on to have gun belts in stock. And I don't live in a metropolis like DFW.Freedom4All wrote:Since he "did me right" I can't pass up a chance to recommend him: http://www.thebeltman.net/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Gun Belt
You might try a police supply store. Some of them stock the Wilderness belts or the 5.11 belts.

Re: Gun Belt
I bought mine from Gun Master also. It was the black Galco Cop Series. I paid around $60 or so. I probably won't go there again unless I really absolutely need something. The employees seem kind of...I don't know, not very helpful and didn't seem to notice me or ask me if I needed any assistance. I finally went up to one that was just standing around and asked if they had any IWB holsters for my sub compact XD, and the guy basically said "All we have is what is out on the shelves" and walked away. They had a bunch of holsters, so I didn't really want to look through them all. So, I bought the belt and left.Supercat wrote:Gun Master just north of the bullet trap in Plano has Galco Gun belts.
