I just put everything on the rail itself...No adaptors...

Not a lot of room for options, but then again this rifle is for specific purposes...

I would recommend getting a flattop with the BUIS and some type of red dot. The best bang for the buck would be an Eotech or Aimpoint in a detachable mount for the flattop. My experience has been that less experienced shooters find it more fun shooting with red dots than with iron sights. Of course, iron sights are the more important of the two, by far.

Here's a RRA middie with an Eotech 551 on a LaRue Eotech base.
If you have a flattop , you really need a BUIS. This rifle has a GG&G MAD BUIS, flipup, dial -type aperature.

You can mount the Eotech directly on the flattop but it sits a little low. The RRA Dominator flattop is a nice piece. I have used one and like it.

Heres another rig...

an RRA lower, middie 16" with an ARMS 58M rail, PRI front folddown sight and an ARMS 40L BUIS. The Aimpoint CompM2 2MOA sits in a ARMS 22M68 detachable mount on the rail. If you go with an AImpoint, you might get a $10 spacer that will bump up the Aimpoint just above your iron sights.

Another question for you AR shooters out there. I was ready to start making all of my purchases and remembered that my wife is left-handed. Anyone here have experience shooting and AR left-handed? Now I'm wondering how much she will want to shoot it if its blowing shells and gas in her face.

If I am not mistaken, Stag arms was strictly in the left handed business when they started.....I have read great things about their rifles.

I've never had a hot brass from a AR15 hit me. The AR itself has a little deflector that helps deflect brass away from your arm, torso, etc...
