Unfortunately Saturday was the last day of the sale. I went in there today and it was back up to $11.99. The cheapest 9mm they have in there is Monarch at $7.99 for steel cased and $8.99 for brass.KRM45 wrote:9mm WWB on sale at Academy this week $8.49/50 rnds.
I stocked up.

Re: ammo on sale
Academy has 9mm Blazer Aluminum on sale in today's ad for $7.49 per box with a limit of 10. That is the best price around and beats Natchez by $0.50 per box.

Pioneer Gunshop in Bedford beats everyone's prices on all calibers and all brands, generally 10 to 15% lower than everyone. This is the only place I buy ammo anymore.

You got me all excited when I read that Walmart was selling Blazer .40 at $7.50 a box until I realized that the post you was quoting was a year and half old.Location, location, location...

I'm not familiar with Pioneer Gunshop. What are some sample ammo prices?

Re: ammo on sale
He got me too. I went to Wally World tonight and gave the guy a hard time because he was selling it for 6 bucks more than the Wally World in Bedford. During the conversation I started thinking about it and realized something had to be wrong and let it go. Now I know what was wrong. There should be some kind of punishment for quoting posts from 18 months ago...LOL.Shiner Bock wrote:You got me all excited when I read that Walmart was selling Blazer .40 at $7.50 a box until I realized that the post you was quoting was a year and half old.Location, location, location...

Re: ammo on sale
Academy is running CCI Blazer 9mm for $7.49 a box. There is a limit of 10, but the store I went to was letting people buy as much as they wanted. I bought a case (1000 rnds) for $150. Not sure how long the sale lasts. There was no signs up, and I had to ask the guy working behind the counter.

That was part of last week's ad and was supposed to expire Saturday, August 23. Did you actually buy the ammo today (Sunday) or yesterday?

Yes, I bought them yesterday (8/23/08) at the North Richland Hills location along with a new hunting and fishing license. As I understand it, they ran Winchester White Box for $8.49 a box last week, which expired Saturday. They have a new sale this week for CCI 9mm and it is for $7.49 a box (but it is for aluminum cases, incase you reload).

The CCI was in last Sunday's ad and yesterday was supposed to be the last day at that price. I picked up 500 rounds last Sunday and another 500 on Wednesday, plus a case of Winchester Super X 12Ga on each visit. I think the WWB sale ended on August 9th as I went in on Sunday the 10th and it was already over.

Re: ammo on sale
On Sunday, I got 9mm 300 rds (Cabela's branded?) plus FREE Ammo Box for $75 + Tax at Cabela's. Thats is $25/100 rds. I went home and I discovered that the Ammo is a reload with lead bullets. I never fired lead bulled with my HK P30 and I prefer not to so. If, I have to shoot those rds anyway as I may not be able to return or exchange the Ammo, then how do I have to clean the lead out of the barrel?
Thanks,
B.

Re: ammo on sale
Just an update. I went to Wally World this morning as one of several errands on a day off. No Blazer Brass in stock, but plenty of Winchester White Box. I picked up a case of .40 S&W 165 gr., and a case of 9mm 115 gr. In boxes of 100, the .40 was $27.97, and the 9mm was $19.97.
Sigh. Things don't get cheaper...
