For the last 29 years, 10 months, every decision I have made has been unanimous!

The wife said: "This gun does not feel right in my hand."
I said; "We will have to fine the prefect gun for you, dear.." "rlol"

These replies are hilarious. I've got to starting working on one for my next purchase.

"All my friends have one!"
"It shoots the same caliber ammo as the one I already own"
"But it's smaller and easier to carry!" or "But it's larger and more accurate!"
"It's a beautiful fit, and such classic lines."

Perhaps it may be better to wait and then say "Look what followed me home!"

I don't need an excuse. In addition to my day job, I do some extra work on the side. I don't need to get into the "milk money" if I want another firearm.

My excuse usually invovles my eyes going all big and saying, "Ohhhh, I don't have one of those yet."

It's an investment.
It's for defending you.

I had the wife watch/listen to the 911 video posted above. Then I told her she needs to know how to shoot. We took my 45 and went to the range. "That's too big for me" she says. "Well, we'll just have to find a better pistol for you then." We looked at all of the different pistols in the shop and she liked the looks and feel of the Bersa Thunder. A few days later I went to the gun show in Ft Worth and found the same gun brand new for $232 out the door. After that, Cabela's was right up the road and had the PAra P12.45 that I bought for myself. My reason?

"Why should you be the only one to get a new gun?"

I've almost got her convinced to let me get a new 22 pistol. "It's a lot cheaper to buy ammo for a 22 than for a 45. We can practice lots more for less money."

(Stevie-D) "Surprise!"

(Wife Unit) "Oh...Is that for me?"

(Stevie-D) "Why yes dear, this Springfield 1911-A1 is something you've wanted for sometime now..."

Little did she know that this was a diversionary purchase...My new aquisition was in work at the time...

So the moral of the story is...Buy "his and hers" (her's first), and everyone is happy... :thumbs2:

Nice! the trick is to get a gun for the wife/significant other first, then you have a blank check to get what you want. ok maybe not but it definitely helps ;-)
