C.T.A.C. problem

#1

Post by KinnyLee »

I just started carrying my Springfield Loaded with the CompTac CTAC. I noticed that every time I cleared the firearm from the holster that the safety is disengaged. Then I notice that the shroud/sweat shield have pushed against the safety for it to disengage. Does anyone have the same problem. If so, what did you do to remedy it? Thanks in advance.

I'd call Comp-TAC. They are awesome about making things right.

I agree. Call Comp-tac. I carry a 1911 in a CTAC and the safety doesn't ever get wiped off.
If your gun had a large extended safety then the holster may need to be adjusted with a little heat from a hair dryer.

I use a Brown Tactical Extended Safety on all of my 1911's and I have never had a C.T.A.C. wipe the safety off. A wider thumb safety might be a problem. As everyone has said, call CompTac, their customer service is second to none.
