Gunstock (THIS) weekend in Waxahachie

#1

Post by Paladin »

Gunstock is at the ETTS range in Waxahachie Sept 23-24. As far as I can tell they also still have openings for the Nightvision experience Friday.
Night Vision Experience
Join us on Friday Sept, 22nd for a Night Vision Experience hosted by TNVC! If you are interested in learning about night vision this intro into night vision is the perfect opportunity. The experience includes a brief orientation on night vision, helmet setup, IR/laser illuminators, along with a 60-round course of fire! (The experience requires it's own ticket, which is available on the registration page.)
It looks like fun.

Gunstock is still going on today. I did the Night vision event Friday night and for someone who hadn't kept up with the latest nightvision googles it was simply amazing! I had a PVS-31 (white phosphor dual tube) and I just couldn't believe what I could see with it. It isn't the monochrome green world that you might think of. It's like a whole 'nother world where night turns into mid-day but with uncountable stars in the sky. I even saw a "falling star"/meteor. Without the googles you could barely see any stars. We were issued high end AR-15's with up to date laser designaters, provided D60 magazines, and unloaded on steel targets from behind VTAC barricades.

The MAWL laser designator looked like the best. Modern nightvision tubes don't really require high power designators.

Gunstock is better than any gunshow you've ever been to. You get to try out shooting everyone's products. Silencers/SBRs/Machinegun rentals were everywhere. Much of the shooting was included with the price of admission. There are so many new products out there it is dizzying. There is a SilencerShop kiosk on site to put your Form 4 in.

If you are in the area there is still time
