I don't disagree but that won't help with the primer shortage... supply chains worldwide are disrupted so components are slowing production...
Ok, so we need more component manufacturers too.
A valid argument, but don’t forget to take into account the amount of time it will take to stand up an entirely new manufacturing plant.....even a relatively small one. And if it’s not well funded right up front, then construction will depend on the owners’/investors’ cash flow situation.

I wish the primer manufacturers would build capacity, but until we can show them pure, sustained demand, not politically motivated demand- that's unlikely.

The supply chain issues are impeding primer production now... the articles I read a month or so ago suggest that the primer folks have capacity to produce more but not the materials. Some chemical or compound sourced from Italy and other materials from heavily covid impacted areas.

And that is what I already did, long before the COVID-19 pandemic or the elections. My ammo buying philosophy: buy 1000, shoot 200; buy 1000 more, shoot 200; buy 1000 more, shoot 200; etc, etc, etc. Keep doing that, and pretty soon you have a LOT of ammo on hand. We’ve done that for both 9mm and .223/5.56, and to a lesser extent with smaller purchases in .308, .300 Blk, and 7.62x39. I wish now I had purchased larger quantities of 7.62x39, but it wasn’t really my thing. I bought the AK to help a friend, but it wasn’t my primary rifle interest. It came with 500 rounds of ammo, and I bought another 500 rounds later, but that was it. I wish now I’d bought a lot more when it was cheap.

If the Harris administration gets it way, which we now have NO REASON to believe that it won't, since the "Supreme Court" had no courage to actually hear a case based on, oh our now, useless old CONSTITUTION; the "ammo shortage" will be over in a year or so. That meaning, NO AMMO will be available to ANYONE, EVER again. Prepare accordingly.....

And that's about all I can do at this point. Note to self: Don't start reloading a cartridge right as the pandemic kicks off.

I did exactly that in june... It is a game of lots of hunting on line to find what you need, so you better know what you want and look often... and be ready to pounce when you find it.

Good luck!

This makes perfect sense. What I am a bit dismayed by is the number of people in America that have gone full blown Karen. What kind of person actually sends a hateful email to an ammo manufacturer because they can't get ammo? On top of this, there were enough of these whiney Karens to cause the ammo manufacturer to put out a video trying to calm these people down. I just shake my head at the absurdity of it.

Think of a person with average intelligence. Then realize that half the population is dumber than that.

That would technically be median intelligence.

Well, as long as we’re being picky: mean, median, and mode are all termed as different types of averages. The mean always gets the glory, but please remember: All Averages Matter
