Please tell me this is a staged video. No way that guy couldn't see the hood of the truck while looking down the sights. But........Who knows? Dumber things happen all the time! :fire :fire
I carry, not because I hate what is in front of me, but because I love what is behind me.

I dunno. It can happen. Back when I was just a youngster at 24 or so, sitting in my deer blind, I fired five rounds from my 30.06 into a tree branch that was laying just below my line of site. It was maybe 2-3 ft out in front of me. I could not for the life of myself figure out where the heck the rounds were hitting. The deer was last seen 350 yards away at the bottom of the valley he was in. I noticed the tree limb with five holes shot through it after the deer walked away laughing at me.

I know a guy who was sighting through his scope at a deer over the roof of his chevy Luv truck. Pressed the trigger and shot through the Luv truck cab through the windershield.

I don't think he actually hit the hood, but the blast burned the paint off.

I was out with someone several years ago, and somebody started to brace their rifle on the car roof to shoot over it, and he stopped them and advised what would happen. He know from personal experience, it seems.

I remember seeing a longer video somewhere, but I can't seem to find it.

I happen to know a dude ;-) who was sitting in the extreme back end of a long bow blind, shooting thru the slit of a front window with an AR with a 3-9X scope mounted about 2 1/2 inches above the bore. A big fat doe lived to see another day due to these things called "window sill" and "mechanical offset".

Have a friend who did that but really worse and got hurt pretty bad. He deer hunted setting in an old stock trailer that stayed in the hay field all the time. Feeder was at the edge of the hay field at the woods line. One day rather than leaning forward and resting his rifle on one of the 1/2 inch rolled steel bars running along the side he just stayed leaned back in his chair. Scope lined up between the bars but guess where the barrel was.
He hit the bar. Took several pieces of shrapnel to the face and a few just barely got through his clothes. He had the ones to his face removed in ER and a couple of them big enough to require a stitch. Needless to say he never did that again. He was mercifully blessed

Yes i know. Just kidding. If you hunt long enough things will happen. I almost stepped on a large yellow snake once.
