I have firearms placed strategically around my house. When I hit the door at night, I see how fast I can be walking around in my underwear.I can't find any underwear that will hold up my handgun.

Too often home carry is impractical for me, so I opt to instead strategically place guns and other weapons around my house. I'm never more than 10 steps from a gun, never more than 3 steps from a weapon of opportunity.

But all seriousness aside, wife already makes fun of me sometimes when she sees me armed inside the house. I think she would lose it she saw me with a gun belt in my undies.

Mine used to - but a few scares over the years and she's glad I have it.

I actually clip a pf9 iwb holster to my robe strap for midnight trips out with the dog... funny looking but it works pretty well.

My neighbor was a victim sometime back and almost killed, beat to death and left for dead, BUT when he got her purse she said it really made her MAD! She had already suffered a rape, broken jaw, broken ribs and beat all over but the purse was just to much!. She finally got her weapon . A Win 37 16 gage #6 shot 9 feet, center of chest, the suspect did not fare well after that- DOA, She does talks on her experience and has actual crime scene pictures also used the real thing not the watered down nice ones, attitude wise she survived 100% but spinal injuries and crippled for life in a wheel chair, an illegal with no ID was the one that caused all. She was bought a better weapon, ammo & training and has a LTC now, she shoots monthly with us. Many chipped in.
She starts her talks with this: I was raped and almost beat to death, it hurt very bad and still does, so what I have for you is not a line to sell anything or any BULL S*** but the truth of what can happen if anyone cant handle that please leave now! Anyone under 18 has to be with parents and all sign a waiver prior to it. Not for those with a weak mind or
stomach at all even the 11x14 color picture of the illegal with a huge hole in his chest is shown plus what she looked like before cleaned up by EMTs.
A very much NO bull tell it like it is person. She now carries a Colt LW Commander after trying many to decide.

When I get off work I like to take off my work clothes & get comfortable. This often means switching to clothes that even my lightest gun would drag down. I have multiple duty-size pistols, shotguns, & rifles around the house. Many are out in the open since I’ve lived alone for several years. But my girlfriend has 2 teenage boys, & in the 3+ years we’ve been together they have never been to my house, mainly due to the guns. Same with my niece & nephew. But, I’m going to have to change this soon. The kids are used to me having a gun on if I have pants on. Her kids are comfortable being around guns & have shot a few with their dad’s family & with me a couple times. My sisters & I grew up around guns that were all loaded & “hidden” around the house. I knew where most were & how to operate them, if needed. I also knew to leave them alone. Today’s environment is different though. I want them to move in with me, but I know things will need to change.

If they move in with you, you'll probably want to be dressed when not in bed. Or change your comfy clothes to include a light weight pistol and a suitable holster/belt. Or buy some quick access boxes for when you are lounging.

When I’ve stayed at her place I’ve usually left my pistol in the nightstand, in my bag, or still in the holster on my belt. They know to not go in her room without asking first.

If I am outside my house I am carrying (where legal) plus fenced yard,cameras and 200 plus pounds of dogs. Inside a 9mm magnetic mount by my chair,AR-15 handy on the way to door. My main alarm 110 lbs. Just my wife and myself grandchildren live over 300 miles away so easy reach guns are possible, when grandchildren visit guns locked up except the ones we are carrying.

Thanks on the dog comment. He is a true Ditch Dog ,found him on the dump road in the ditch 3 lbs. Brought him home to be mine but he adopted my wife as usual, I pity anyone who ever tries to hurt her. Vet calls him a "Great Dane Bull"
