2nd Grader Suspended for drawing a gun
My how times have changed. When I was a kid we use to make rubber band guns out of clothes pins and sticks.
Great lunch break fun in Elementry School.

Confession Time. This was nearly 40 years ago so I think I'm safe
My absolute coolest homemade scare toy was a UFO.
Ingredients were:
Birthday candles.
2 strips of balsa wood - about 1/4" by 18" or so.
Scotch tape
1 Dry Cleaning bag.
Seal the bag so there are no holes on the top. Slight venting is OK.
Tape the balsa wood together in a cross
Melt the candles on the balsa wood and stick the candles so there are about 6-8 per stick.
Tape the bottom of the cleaner bag to the ends of the balsa wood.
Walla! A clear plastic hot air balloon!.
I would launch those little suckers at night in the Elementry School football field and watch them go up to about a 1000 feet. At that altitude the old folks would start calling into the TV stations.
Anyway...these are a huge fire hazard. Fortunately I did this during the rainy season and didn't have any problems. They burn't out before hitting the ground.
It was just dumb luck.
Jeez...its amazing I have a clean record...

Haha, I came across an old class journal from first grade. Every day we'd have to write in your journal at the beginning of class and it was periodically "graded" by the teacher to see how basic spelling, etc was coming along.
One of the topics must've been, around Christmas time, what we wanted for christmas.
I wrote something along the lines of "for christmas I want a .357 magnum like my dad's. The .357 magnum is a good gun and if someone ever tries to steal our stuff I could use it. Also, if I'm ever poor and needed to hunt for food, it's strong enough to kill a deer."
Hey, I got a checkmark for it, whatever that mean..

So if a kid draws stick people without any clothes is it pornography,I was an Air Force Brat growing up every picture i drew was about jet planes shooting and tanks blowing up stuff and soldiers doing what soldiers do,there is obviously a simple solution here ban pencils and paper in schools
