MTM Ammo Crate

#1

Post by jason812 »

I had $50 on a Cabelas gift card so I used it to grab one each of MTM Ammo Crate ACR5 and ACR8. I wanted to see how they would work and what they would hold before I bought more. For only having them a day, I'm pleased and will be getting more. They are sturdy and seem well built plus low profile for the amount of ammo that will fit in one.

Depending on the size if the box, the ACR5 will hold 2k rounds of .223/5.56.

I was able to put over 2600 rounds of .40 cal in the ACR8. I say over 2600 because that's how many were in boxes plus 30 or so in a ziploc bag. I don't want to carry it very far but a few of these should fit under my future reloading bench.

That's what I store my ammo at home in. Works well enough.

These things are great. I have several already and could use more. Work great for organizing the car trunk as well; rain gear, extra clothes, bug out gear, first aid, etc.
May we never haver to draw but always be prepared.

Thanks for posting this, these are just what I need to help organize some of my gear. I also found that they now make an "extra tall" version, the ACR12-72, which is a full foot deep.
