I prefer leather, but I am open to kydex, primary interest is safety, followed by the ease of reholstering by a holster design that doesn't collapse.
What is new in the last 20 years that is worthwhile ?

I like M Sparks also. However the lead time these days is measured in months. Some of the holster mfgs. mentioned in this thread also make OWB's.
