Saxet Gun Show In San Antonio

Looks like Saxet has a new location for shows in San Antonio. It's at the Freeman Coliseum on east Houston, just south of Fort Sam. I've been by there in the past but have never been inside and don't know really how big it is.

It looks like it's a much larger place than the Al Shazzam hall and maybe it will replace the Broadway show permanently. Only time will tell.

They have a show lined up for October 27/28 and I'm hoping it will be a good one with lots of variety.

Freeman Coliseum is bigger them the Shrine.
The building that they used on Broadway is gone. It was taken done to make room for a hotel.

nemesis,

Thanks for the update. I was curious as to where Saxet would land. Though I have not been
by the old Broadway location in a while I have heard that the building was torn down.

I did attend the last show at the Shrine Temple (Al Shazzam???) and it was much smaller than
the Broadway show. And I didn't see any of the big dealers there either. But if you wanted a $900
beater Garand they had them. I heard one seller telling a prospective customer that he had better
get one soon cause they are getting real hard to find. I wanted to mention that the CMP just
received a literal boatload of them recently (rumors in the 70,000 to 100,000 range) and now have
enough for several years worth of sales. But being the good capitalist that I am I let it slide.
Caveat Emptor!

Thanks again for the notice.

Kind Regards,

Tom

It's "Alzafar Shrine Temple." "Al Shazzam" is pretty funny, tho! I'll never be able to get that out of my mind now.

I was there this past weekend too, and it didn't seem as big as at the Airport Convention Center on Broadway. Still had fun tho.

You can find the Saxet schedule here:
