Seems more like a settlement than a attitude change.

If they know you and you walk in armed then you have broken the law.

Gunner4640,

They took down the signs, thus no law to be broken...or, am I missing something?

Thanks!

Sorry. The fact that the signs were up in the first place tells me all that I need to know about that place and their attitude toward legally armed citizens.
Taking the signs down after all of the negative publicity just means that they are afraid of losing business, not that they have seen the error of their ways.
No business from me. Others do as you choose.
God and the soldier we adore,
In times of danger, not before.
The danger gone, the trouble righted,
God's forgotten, the soldier slighted.

From my understanding, the 30.06 came down. 30.07 still up.

Really"

...with the 30.06 only begrudgingly taken down because of a loss of business and not a "I could've had a V-8 moment?"

Say it ain't so...?

They posted this on their FB page:
We have read everyone's comments about having a 30.06 sign posted outside of our storefront and it has been taken down. We hope to see everyone soon
So, probably left the 30.07 sign up. I agree that they didn't remove it because they saw the issue with it, only to save business.

So they caved under the pressure, isn't that the point of bringing pressure to bear? Why slap them now for doing the right thing?

No open carry alowed, they don't want to scare their customers away with these people carrying guns in their store! Also, a safety issue for their employees! They probably believe these things might "go off" on their own! :biggrinjester:

Makes me think of a nudist owning a clothing store. Why sell something you don't believe in?

This whole thing just reeks. Just because he caved in and removed the .06 sign doesn't mean his attitude towards people carrying guns has changed. There's way too many mom and pop guns stores that welcome oc or cc (two in my little town) to bother with this anti gun nut. Actually, I am not sure why I am wasting my time reading and replying to this subject.

Sure, and I agree it's silly and makes no sense. However, as we all know, .07 is a matter of dress code. All you have to do is cover up and you can walk in and if the need arises you can defend yourself. They demonstrated they are responsive to customer, (and non-customer,) preferences. Try that with Half Price Books or Whole Foods and see where you get.

Exactly. I thought someone might bring up the "dress code" issue. It doesn't bother me much when a business posts only 30.07, that's their preference, but when it's a gun store they are essentially fighting against our mutual cause.
