I am looking for an Armory/Gun Store/Guns Bank to store my firearms while I am out of town.
Any ideas?

Re: Looking for Armory for firearms Storage
A man enters a bank in downtown Manhattan, and asks for a loan of $2,000 for a trip to Europe. The loan officer asks for collateral, so the man points to his Rolls Royce parked outside. The loan officer does a title search, and upon determining it's clear, takes the keys to the car and parks it in its underground parking lot. The loan officer and his co-workers get a good laugh at how stupid he must be to borrow $2,000 against a Rolls.
The man returns from his vacation and comes in to get his car. He repays the $2,000, plus a minimal amount of interest. The loan officer, while laughing at the man says "sir, while you were gone, we did some checking. You are a millionaire many times over. Why did you need to borrow such a small sum of money? Are you that foolish?” The man replies, “I am not foolish. Perhaps you are the foolish one. Where else in New York City can I park my Rolls Royce for two weeks and have it so secure for such a small sum???”
...so, "loan" em to a pawn shop.

Several years back, I had to store my collection, abet a small one, for several weeks during a flood-related house remodel. I asked around several of the gun shops but none would store them due to their insurance. I stopped by a small one I'd done business with in the past. He said he couldnt "store" them, but recommended that because the house got wet, they all needed to be cleaned and that my homeowner's insurance should cover that. He then indicated he was quite busy and the cleaning could take some time. What a coincidence that they were done when I moved back into the house.

That's the direction I was going. Five weeks might be a bit long though, especially if it's a large number of guns.Piney wrote:Several years back, I had to store my collection, abet a small one, for several weeks during a flood-related house remodel.
