Re: What is your night stand gun?
My nightstand gun is an AR-15 chambered in 5.56. Might be joined by my Glock 19 once Uncle Sam takes my $200 and sends me a stamp so I can pick up my can.
I got a lower waiting to be built into a 300 BLK AR-15 pistol once budget allows. Eventual plan is to suppress that as well so I don't damage my hearing if I ever have to use it indoors.

Keep calm and carry.

Have been considering a p2022... nice looking pistol. Need to add to my Sig collection anyhow.SigM4 wrote:Absolutely agree. After doing a couple night shoots at my club with most stages being done with handheld flashlights and others with weapon mounted lights and even one with only road flares I came to the conclusion that a weapon mounted light was the way to go for me. Both accuracy and speed were far better that way and it gives me a free hand to boot if needed.
I've tried a laser and didn't like it even after several attempts to get used to it. If you can use it effectively, more power to ya.
I typically keep a SigPro 2022 on the nightstand.

Carlson,
Did you get your shotgun ammo? Have you had a chance to try it out?

I did get them, but have not got to the range yet. It is on the schedule when my health is better.JRG wrote:carlson1 wrote:I have 50 rounds on the way and can't wait to get to the range and test them out.Pawpaw wrote: I feel the best ammo is Federal LE132-1B, which is 15 pellets of #1 buckshot. You will be pleased, I think. I got some a few years ago before moving. I did a test at various distances. I can't find the photos I took of the targets, but I was mighty happy to not have been one!carlson1 wrote:I did get them, but have not got to the range yet. Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

Springfield XDs on the night stand.
Sig Sauer .45 1911 under the night stand.
AR 15 chambered in 5.56 beside the night stand.
Mossberg 12 GA. inside the closet in the bathroom. (In case I need to retreat that way.)

Re: What is your night stand gun?
On my nightstand is whichever gun I carry that day. I just put it on the nightstand when I change clothes.
In the drawer of my nightstand is my XD45 and next to my nightstand is my 12 gauge.
