Re: Carry gun suggestions
My EDC is a Walther P99 Compact. Similar in size to the Glock 19, but a just a wee bit smaller, and I like the for and features better.
Re: Carry gun suggestions
The 10 + 1 is the problem. When you go to the double stacked mag they get thicker and heavier. The Glock 26 would give you the same trigger and a pretty much seamless transition if you are going to switch carry guns back and forth.
You could also use a mag from your G 19 as a second mag with more rounds.

Re: Carry gun suggestions
There is just a little bit of unsettling that comes to me when I carry less than 10 rounds. Its not that I can't shoot and need more chances but it's the fact that I like having the extra capacity. I have looked at the FNs 9c that looks decent

Re: Carry gun suggestions
I've been pleased with my M&P 9C (12+1 capacity) along with an extra regular M&P (17 round) magazine. If I was already invested in Glock, I'd consider the model 26, which also takes the model 15 and model 17 magazines. Depending on your feature/ergonomics preferences, FN, S&W, Beretta, Glock, and HK all offer polymer frame gun families that offer a compact or subcompact option to go along with a full size sibling.

Doesn't meet your round count minimum with standard mags, but have you thought about a quality 1911?

I am a big believer in muscle memory, and my own failing memory. I would encourage the G26 as well. Keep all of the mechanics the same? It isn't fun or exotic but none of my carry gear really is.

I have a ruger Sr1911 and it's just too big and heavy for CC I have thought about a compact 1911 but i tend to stay with polymer guns.jb2012 wrote:Doesn't meet your round count minimum with standard mags, but have you thought about a quality 1911?

Another vote for the 26. You can get the xgrip to use with the glock 19 mags.

Re: Carry gun suggestions
I typically go back and forth between my Glock 26 and Bersa BP9CC. Glock would keep some muscle memory applicable for you and feel much the same. But it's still bulky. The Bersa doesn't hold 10, but I absolutely love it. Reliable, feels good in my hand, and is highly concealable. Affordable, too. Bersa gets a bad rap sometimes, but I really like this one.

I carry two Glock 26s have for years
1 in pocket in Desantis Nemesis holster for my BUG
usually I carry it with
12+1 (Glock 26 mag with +2 base plate by Pearce grips)
or 13+1 (Glock 26 mag with +3 base plate [pg-39] by Pearce grips
or 15+1 (Glock 19 mag with Xgrip mag spacer)
The other Glock 26 I carry on my belt, either IWB or OWB as my Primary
It always has 20+1 rounds (Glock 17 mag, Xgrip spacer, +3 PG39 Base Plate by Pearce grips)
And a spare 20 round mag ((Glock 17 mag, Xgrip spacer, +3 PG39 Base Plate by Pearce grips)
Pearcegrip baseplates for the +2 are smaller than Glock +2 baseplates, the +3 baseplate is close to the same size as Glock's +2 baseplate
All my Glocks use Advantage Tactical sights http://www.advantagetactical.com/
because
Less likely to snag on clothing when drawing
Fast sight acquisition
Easy to operate/clear jams/rack slide etc one-handed with those sights if 1 hand get's injured or is occupied holding a door/flashlight/or otherwise tied up/busy
There's extra pieces inside the Pearcegrip baseplates that "hold the spring or something", I've always had better reliability (and getting the 3rd round in) by leaving the extra bits out and just using the base plate.
Folding rifle for where 30.06 signs exist (and places Licensees are prohibited from carrying handguns Sec. 46.035. UNLAWFUL CARRYING OF HANDGUN BY LICENSE HOLDER.)_ is KelTec Sub2000 for Glock 19 and larger mags ... (so my 15 to 20 round handgun mags fit)

My EDC is a CZ Rami, 9mm. Small, but not too small. The de- cocker model I have came with a 10 round and 14 round mag.
