The university was held liable for violating free speech.

Incorrect. It was held liable for termination without cause.

Isn't that what it's called in a non-right to work state? :biggrinjester:

When I think of buying or selling, Facebook never entered my mind.

I have very negative thoughts about such as this. To me it is not much different than the City of Ft. Worth skating around the law by requiring wristbands.

Big difference between a city government trying to impose restrictions against legal carry and skating a private entities policies on a virtual website. Not to mention that it was obviously a joke.

Chance favors the prepared. Making good people helpless doesn't make bad people harmless.
There is no safety in denial. When seconds count the Police are only minutes away.
Sometimes I really wish a lawyer would chime in and clear things up. Do we have any lawyers on this forum?

The problem is, the mental midgets on the facebook page where I saw that are the type to try some such tactic.

While the government skating the law is bad, it does not make such tactics any more honorable.
