Good customer relations.
I have had a Kahr 9mm for several years, and put a number of rounds through it with no problems other than that it will fail to close slide if you let it get dirty from shooting. So, when my wife expressed interest in getting a CHL, I bought her a Kahr CW9 to learn on and carry. Out to the range we go....about 10-15 rounds later it blew the extractor off. . I ordered and installed a new one and we went back to the range. (I had been shooting some boughten reloads, so I figured maybe they were just loaded a little hot). 10 or 20 rounds later it blew the extractor again.
This time it went back to Kahr under warranty. They returned it and we went back to the range. This time it fired less than two magazines and away went the extractor again. This time it blew the flap open on the right rear of the weapon as well. So back to Kahr it went. Several weeks went by with me calling them and emailing them for updates on its return. In the interim, they were trying to find a gun that would not go blooey. They apparently tried a number of them with much the same result I had. Finally, they sent me a new pistol. Not a CW9 but one of the top of the line P9's.
Now that is a warranty worth having. And a bunch of folks at Kahr that really went the extra mile to try to fix the problem.
