I've got to get to the range. I have a 42 that I haven't shot yet and now have the 43. Hope the wife will carry the 42. She has a 23 but it just stays locked in the glove box of the car. Hoping with the size of the 42 she'll carry more.John Galt wrote:I hope you like it as much as I like my 42.jmra wrote:Bought my next firearm yesterday - Glock 43rotor wrote:Thompson sub machine gun

Life is tough, but it's tougher when you're stupid.

I picked up the aluminum framed version earlier this year and it has quickly become my EDC. Really like it.TxLobo wrote:3. Ruger 1911 Commander

Shot an HK VP9 this weekend, its definitely next on the list.
Trigger is amazing and its accurate as heck out of the box.

Glad to see there is another convert
Re: What firearm do you want to get next?
If you're talking to me, I'm not really converting as much as expanding. I seriously doubt I'll be carrying it often, but I did enjoy shooting it. Intending it to be more of a range/nightstand gun than an EDC.boxermoose wrote:Glad to see there is another convert

it's one of my favorite pistols i own, even thinking of buying a second one.

Have you tried carrying it? I'm concerned with the grip size more than anything else - I carry a full size 1911, so its not like the weight is gonna be a problem.rentz wrote:Taypo wrote:Shot an HK VP9 this weekend, its definitely next on the list.

HK45 or HK45C.
I bought one (45C) from a LEO while in California, then sold it before the move. The few times I shot it, it was impressive.
Any better choices for carry/HD in .45, for a lefty?

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

I am looking for a Savage Model 99 in a 300 Savage. This is to replace one that belonged to my grand dad that my idiot brother stole and sold for $50.00

I want a 9mm rifle.
First choice would be a Colt AR, but man oh man, they're costly.
Second choice would be a High Point 9mm carbine. Inexpensive.
Yes, I know, HP's other products have a sketchy reputation, but the carbine is supposedly a good choice. One of the downsides is no after market magazines. Their stock magazines hold a paltry 10 rounds.
I've heard a lot of good things about this rifle, but looking at the Youtube videos on how to clean one, shows you have to break it so far down it would daunt a gunsmith...ok, not really, but it looks awfully complicated.

Re: What firearm do you want to get next?
No holster for it but I've thought of ordering one to try out in winter, it's bigger than what I would usually carry which is mainly single stack 9s but it really isn't that much different from my Glock 19 which I have carriedTaypo wrote:Have you tried carrying it?
